Answers to your domain transfer questions…
What do we have to do in this process?
There are the following things you need to do:
- Provide us with a contact person with whom we can work.
- Find out where your existing domain names are registered. This is probably the most logical place for you to transfer ownership of the Premium Domain to. Find out how they manage domain transfers.
- When you receive the EPP Authorisation Code, work with you existing provided to request the transfer using the EPP Authorisation Code.
How long will it take?
You can expect us to complete our part of the process within 2 working days of the purchase being confirmed. The actual transfer time depends, however, on your existing provider. Some providers manage this process in just a couple of hours, others are much slower. The absolute maximum time required is 6 days.
What can go wrong?
Usually, nothing at all. Occasionally there is an administrative error that means that the process is stopped and needs to be restarted. This is a very standard process that occurs 1,000s of times every day.
